I recently graduated as a Ph.D. from the Immunology Program of Cornell Medical School/Sloan Kettering Institute, which locates at the upper east side of Manhattan. I obtained my B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Sun Yat-sen University in my home town Guangzhou, a diverse, challenging yet friendly city in the southern China. I stayed in Singapore from 2002-2003 and finish my bachelor research thesis there before I came to the US.
I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese, and I've been an interpreter for non-English speaking patients in the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Hospital for 2 years. I also part-timed two UN international conferences last year.
As a descendant of Manchu, I am very interested in different cultures. I've been to 24 out of 34 provinces in China and have friends in 19 different ethnic minorities. Now, I've visited 22 states in the US, and have been meeting new friends from all parts of the world. Hope you will be the next!
